I created this animatic / cinematic using Unreal Engine, Adobe Premiere and Sweet Home 3D. I created the topology from scratch in Unreal, populating it with a few free FAB items and Megascans. The building was created in Sweet Home 3D and ported into Unreal. It’s a fairly simple structure, I spent some time building textures for it and enjoyed that part of Unreal, but detailed modelling wasn’t really what I was exploring. This began as a Gnomon exercise to design and stage a scene. I got carried away with the camera and cinematography aspects of Unreal, as well as the Metahuman creator and ended up here. The last little conversation was largely a test of the Metahuman lipsynch function. It’s not bad but for speed but a little flat perfomance-wise. Realtime facial capture would likely give much better results.
